Sharon Yvonne Stone born 10th March 1958, to Dorothy Lawson, a accountant, and Joseph William Stone 2nd, who was a former tool and die worker as well as a factory worker. Stone has three brothers: Michael, Kelly, and Patrick. Stone has a talent in the classroom as young children, began her second grade education at the age of five. Saegertown School situated in Saegertown Pennsylvania was her high school. Stone graduated in 1975. In addition, she competed at the Miss Pennsylvania pageant and won Miss Crawford County. Stone together with her aunt, in 1977 made the move in New Jersey for a modeling job. She was signed by Ford Modeling Agency a week further. She soon relocated to Europe, spending a year with her aunt in Milan in Italy and Paris. Stone was disillusioned by the modeling business in Europe she decided to pursue acting instead. She was 20 when she appeared in the film of Woody Allen "Stardust Memories" with mixed receptions.
