Anne Celeste Heche is an American actress who is known for her wide variety of roles across film TV, theatre, and film. She received numerous accolades including an Daytime Emmy Award and a National Board of Review Award. Anne Celeste Heche (19 May 1969 - August 11 2022) is the American Actress. From 1987 to 1991, she earned notoriety for her portrayal of the twin of Vicky Hudson's Marley Love. This led to two Soap Opera Digest Awards and the Daytime Emmy Award. In the 90s, she gained more fame with her roles in the films Donnie Brasco (1997), Volcano (1997) as well as I Know What You Did in the Summer (1997). In addition, she was in the also appeared in the action-comedy movie Six Days Seven Nights (1998), the comedy-action film Wag the Dog (1997), the drama thriller film Return to Paradise (2000) as well as the political satirical film Wag the Dog (2007). She is best known for her character of Lieutenant Sheba from her role in the Battlestar Galactica television series (1978-1979). Her mother is the actress June Lockhart and granddaughter of actor Gene Lockhart. Lockhart began her career at the age of four. The first time she appeared on screen was aged four, when she starred in T is for Tumbleweed. It was nominated for an Academy Award in this short film. Her mother brought her to the studio where she learned about the workings of the film industry. Lockhart was featured in a variety of seasons of Lassie. Dora in Jory was her first movie in 1972. She was just 18 years old when she portrayed Joan Crawford's daughter Joan Crawford on The Sixth Sense. Joan was the only actress in the series to be featured on The Sixth sense. There is a rumor that Anne refused to play Laurie Strode, the character in John Carpenter's horror film Halloween. The character was given to Jaime Lee Curtis. Carpenter stated it was Anne's primary option for the role, however, she declined. Anne did not recall approached by John Carpenter nor being offered the position. It's possible one of Anne's agents rejected it for her reasons without informing her. Glen Larson initially selected her to play the character of Battlestar Galactica in 1978. He wrote a rough script. The actress initially refused the role due to the fact that she thought the character was weak. Glen was later able to write a character to her, which featured an extremely strong character named Sheba. After having read the first 25 pages of story The Living Legend she accepted immediately. The series lasted one season. She co-starred with Desi Arnaz Jr. (son of Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball) Melanie Griffith and Robert Carradine in the film Joyride (1977) and co-starred along with Michael Moriarty in the horror film The Dark Tower (1987).
